I turned in 5 release from ETJ petitions this week and I'm working on the next batch.
I also talked with the new person, Braden, at County Road & Bridge who has taken over the task of maps/mapping. He was reviewing the previous emails with Greg Webb (previous maps/mapping person at R&B), myself, and seguin and agreed that the properties holding up our maps - the old PO, hair salon, and empty lot - are no longer a question because they have been released from the ETJ since those emails and have already been voluntarily annexed into Kingsbury.
When he sends me the new maps, we'll see if we are back to 2023 city limits.

Attached is the map from R&B. We are back to 2023 city limits! I'll be getting the large wall map and also the shape files when those are ready. I'll go ahead and post the new map to the website.
I'll continue to submit the ETJ release forms to Seguin but probably only those that are still considered in the Seguin ETJ as of this map.

Now that I've blown up the map enough on another monitor, I can see that the three properties at the corner of Kingsbury Road and Railway Street are not in the city limits. I'll let R&B know that these have been released from the seguin ETJ and have been voluntary annexed. I'll keep you posted.

This is the latest greatest map. It has all properties that have been annexed and includes a ring (instead of a shaded area) for our ETJ. We went back and forth with so many updates that I didn't want to nitpick about shading. I will be picking up the poster size copy from R&B this week. I also got the shapefiles and I'll send those to the utility companies. I've sent the Ordinance 2023-29 and map to the Texas Comptrollers tax allocation department so that the properties show as inside city limits for sales tax purposes. City of Kingsbury map 2024-03-05.pdf (637.54 KB) After I get this done, I will see about the other city ETJ mapping with R&B.
