I was contacted by the County last week requesting an interlocal agreement for the collection station. I made up an interlocal and reviewed it with Udo and Sam. We had a couple of updates and I have sent the draft to Trish Tumlinson for review by the County and their legal. I kept it simple and open so we'll see what the County responds with. Trish wants to have it on their agenda for the 27th. Attached is the draft. As recommended by Sam, I also requested a copy of the agreement/contract that the County had with the previous station operator. Interlocal Agreement for Collection Station.pdf (117.9 KB)

I talked with Sam today and the interlocal for the collection station is with Legal at the County. So it’s not going to be on the agenda on the 27th. The meetings in March are on 5th, 19th, and 26th but no telling if it will make one of those or not.
There is a matter of some fencing that will be needed to cordon off where the County does brush mulching. I think they want to do that before we start using the property.
That’s the latest.

Today I got a call from Steven Germann, the Commissioner for Precinct 4 that includes the Marion collection station. He is very interested in what we are doing and seeing if they can do the same or something similar in Marion. I gave him the rundown on our activities and gave him Udo's contact info. I then talked with Udo to give him the heads up that he may be getting a call and that we are not on the next Commissioners Court agenda.
Germann thinks that we may be able to get on the agenda for March 5th if it is submitted by noon Wednesday. That really depends on the Legal person (Tays) for the County.

I posted this on the KDC board also:
I called Road & Bridge last week regarding the separation that needs to be done with the transfer station between the County portion and the Kingsbury section. R&B had no clue on their side who's been working on that. So I've been trying to get hold of Steven Tays with the County Attorney's office but he has been out of the country. I finally got hold of him this afternoon and he has been waiting on Commissioner Seidenberger and R&B to provide more details for the ILA (Interlocal Agreement) regarding on an additional gate, hours of operation, and fencing.
I called Comm. Seidenberger and he was just talking with Douglas Burnside (Road & Bridge) yesterday regarding the partitioning, gates, etc. but they got sidelined by the Judge on another topic and didn't get back to the Kingsbury topic. Commissioner Seidenberger was thinking that there was information coming from Mr. Tays and Tays was waiting for info from Seidenberger. So now Seidenberger is going to get back with Burnside at R&B and finish hammering out the details to get to Steven Tays so this can be put on their agenda.
The hope is to get it ready by Wednesday for the agenda for the Commissioner's meeting on May 7th.
