These are some pictures of the parish house from 2008 that show the front porch. Seth was asking about what was there before it was removed. I will send it to Alison directly for sending to Seth.

I have real concerns about spending a full third of the city's monthly sales tax revenue to lease space. I totally understand the desire to have an income stream from a property, there's no fault in that. But I would have to vote against leasing the space at the rate discussed.
In 2022, the city's average sales tax revenue per month was $2,982. A monthly rent of $1,000 (plus electricity, plus internet at the very least) would consume more of our city's income than I feel comfortable with.
How do you feel?

i think it's still early in the process. we still have a request for estimates of: construction costs, timeline for completion, our involvement, etc. i'd still like those numbers in before much movement on our part. I feel that, so far, any dollar amounts mentioned were the "first" proposition, kind of a starting point for where considerations might begin.
However, i agree that the amount mentioned is beyond our capacity. perhaps the property owner should be made aware early on to assess feasibility of continuing discussions?
